A few months ago, I was contacted by a family living in a spacious 3500 sq yard bungalow in a quiet hill station near Mumbai. Their son, Rishi, was 32—well-settled, kind-hearted, and ready for the next chapter of life. But the right match just wasn’t arriving.
Proposals would come. Conversations would start. And then, they would dissolve.
They tried everything: astrological remedies, elaborate poojas, family referrals, even matchmaking apps. But nothing seemed to work. Deep down, they sensed that something else was blocking his path.
That’s when someone suggested, “Maybe it’s time to check the vastu.”
I reviewed their home plan remotely, and within minutes, the answer became clear.
The northeast of the house, which governs clarity and life direction, had a toilet. The east, which supports timely opportunities and connections, also had one. And the southeast, the direction of relationships, timing, and readiness, was compromised too.
To add to this, Rishi’s bedroom was done in strong tones of red and white, which tend to over-activate the fire element, making him quick to feel attraction but also quick to lose interest.
I didn’t recommend drastic changes. Just a few precise adjustments:
- We closed off the toilets in the northeast and southeast.
- Rishi’s room was repainted in a warm, earthy beige, which helped ground the space and calm the energy.
The shifts were subtle, but the results weren’t.
Within six months, Rishi met someone—not just a fleeting spark, but a real connection. A partnership that brought him ease and peace to his parents, who had quietly carried the weight of this concern for years.
Sometimes, it’s not about timing or stars. Sometimes, it’s the house.
